Dr Jane Oatley

More than 30 years of small animal orthopaedic experience.
I have pursued a career in small animal orthopaedics since my clinical training at Cambridge University more than 30 years ago. I am an RCVS accredited advanced practitioner in small animal orthopaedic surgery and have been providing surgical services to veterinary practices in the local area for the last 20 years, as well as consulting and advising on a range of cases and providing rehabilitation. I don't feel my job is done until the dog is back to its full activity levels, and I take your pet on the whole journey from investigations, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

Sporting dog services
I enjoy the challenge of managing injuries in elite performance dogs, I am actively involved in the agility dog community and participate in agility training with my own dog. I have worked closely with Amanda Hemingway, Physiotherapist, so I am also well equipped to manage soft tissue injuries and non-invasive treatments. Additionally, I am qualified in the use of Thor Class 3B laser and Western Veterinary Acupuncture as alternative or additional methods to manage pain alongside traditional medication.
